Breaking the Silence
City of Asylum is proud to team up with the Jacob Burns Film Center to present the Silenced Film Series, weekly screenings of international films that have been banned or censored around the world.
Every Thursday this summer we are featuring a different film each week–from comedies to dramas, from classic films to new cinema–each with their own unique history of censorship.
Help yourself to free popcorn at concessions and feel free to bring an alcoholic beverage to sip on during the film. There is sure to be something for everyone this summer!
