On Monday, February 4th 7:30 pm at Go Realty office at 848 W North Avenue, AWCC will be hosting members of Rail Pollution Protection Pittsburgh (RP3) for a presentation on the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Vertical Clearance Project (PVCP).
The presentation is titled ‘Norfolk Southern – Dirty, Dangerous, and In Your Backyard’ and will provide comprehensive information about PVCP including the impact of black carbon diesel pollution on those living within the high risk fallout zone; and the risk of combining double stacked rail cars in increased volumes combined with oil cars through densely populated neighborhoods adjacent to the Ft Wayne and Pittsburgh Rail Lines.
It will also cover the railroad’s involvement in the expansion of the petrochemical industry, and cameras/monitoring to establish baseline information.
