Local Review Committee

The Local Review Committee is a group of residents and property owners living in the Allegheny West neighborhood, each of whom has a different background in preservation. Many of the members of the committee have gone through extensive preservation work on their own homes in recent years.

The Local Review Committee acts as a liaison between the neighbors of Allegheny West and the City of Pittsburgh’s Historic Preservation Planning office. They aim to provide accurate information on the historic guidelines and to streamline the permitting process.

Meetings

The committee meets privately on the Monday before the first Wednesday of the month.
