Train Museum
The largest collection of antique American toy trains in the world is right here in Allegheny West! Privately owned, its displays and operating village layouts are open to the public on just two days a year – for visitors to the annual Allegheny West Christmas Tours.
Open Just Two Days Each Year
Visit a magical world, surrounded by thousands of colorful toy trains made between 1860 and 1939 by companies like Lionel, American Flyer and Ives – many of them rolling merrily through miniature towns and countryside, tunnels and bridges. This unique holiday destination has been the subject of books, magazines and entire television programs – and now you can experience it yourself.
Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity to step back in time, joining visitors of all ages as they revisit Christmas long ago – through the eyes of a child.
Train Tour tickets are $20 ($25 after November 1 and at the door) and can be purchased only during the Old Allegheny Victorian Christmas House Tour, either in person at 719 Brighton Ave or online. You are not required to purchase House Tour Tickets in order to purchase Train Museum tickets.
If you would like to be notified of upcoming Allegheny West events, including the next dates the Train Tour will be open, please sign-up here for our mailing lists.
You can purchase copies of the DVD featured in this clip, Tinplate Legends in Action, Part 3 at a special, discounted price via Amazon or at the Train Museum during the Victorian House Tour.
